If I am a foreigner, can I also obtain financing or a mortgage in Mexico?

Yes. You can access direct financing from developers (often with zero interest) and also traditional mortgage loans. Banks in Mexico usually require bank statements and proof of income from your country of residence.

Do I need to travel to Mexico to register my property?

Yes. Once the property is ready, you will need to come to Mexico for the closing process. For foreigners, properties near coastal areas will be registered through a trust, a secure and common mechanism that protects your investment.

What is the difference between buying pre-sale and buying a property ready for immediate occupancy?

Pre-sale: allows you to acquire a property at a more accessible initial price and generate significant appreciation upon receipt (10% to 18% annually depending on the area). Immediate delivery: you obtain the property ready to live in or rent out, and its value increases with the development of the area.
